Not sure if this topic goes into the health and fitness section or not. I just quit smoking yesterday at 8 pm, quit many , many times before. Hopefully I will get it right this time . Any other former smokers or people on a quit right now ?
Hopefully I am going to get to the gym and work out when I get the money to (looking for a job ) and get myself in shape . Thinking this is a good start .

Good luck MM! My Dad quit at the age of 42.....the day after he had a major heart attack. That was 32 years ago and Dad is still going strong.

Is there anyone else in here who wants to form a group? You all have supported in many ways here in the site. I have tried to quit once before and it was a no go after about a week or so.

yeah , that is my problem too . I have friends that are smokers and usually I just give in and smoke when either around or I start up again when I fell upset , mad , fustrated ect,
A group would be cool to see . I was apart of a online nicotine annoymous group , but not really in that anymore.

Congrats, I hope you are able to quit. I never knew Timm smoked... I am glad I never started anything like that. I tried snuff but it was just odd so I didnt do it any more.

It seems like alot of Sly guys dip in my area. I tried it because it seemed like the cool thing to do. I think I went through maybe 1/4 of a can total. Every once in awhile I will take a nice dip but not often enough to buy a can like some people.

Good for you Mayhem!
It is so worth it.
I quit way back when.
At first I did have to avoid my smoking (and drinking) friends.
Back then we could smoke at any bar etc...
Do something really fun with all the CASH you will be saving.
Keep up the good fight!

Good luck I have tried many times and wish I could quit as well. With the recent price hike a lot of people I hang with have stopped so I may be given it a try soon as well.

I just recently got out of an extended hospital stay and I couldn’t smoke while I was there. I also was unable to physically go outside to smoking area on my own and the nurses would not take me due to hospital policy. So now I am back home and don’t smoke anymore. I wouldn’t recommend this as a way to quit smoking but I can tell you that things change when you do quit. You not only feel better but your other sense that I’m guessing the nicotine somehow dulls are more alive. My food tastes better, my sense of smell is keener stuff like that. Hope you are able to quit for good this time.
