I purchased Clubman Pinaud after shave at Sally's Beauty Supply earlier today.
I had smelled this at a CVS a week or so back.... someone had opened a bottle so I took advantage to take a quick sniff.
So what does it smell like? It smells like the past, like a simpler time when simple things were the best. It reminds me of when I was a young boy and Dad used to take me to the Barber Shop for a regular haircut. That scent was in the air in those old Barber Shops.
No salon smell, or mousse scent, or flowery, citrusy scents..... just a very nice, clean, old fashioned, masculine scent. I love it and my wife loves it. The scent will take you back.
A little of this stuff goes a long way so use it sparingly.
At less than $7 for a large bottle it is a bargain.
Would i purchase it again?...... absolutely. A bargain price for a great scent wrapped in a little nostalgia.

Is it the Bay Rum variety? Great review bro

No.... the Bay Rum was right next to it on the shelf. I gave that a sniff too and it had a great old fashioned scent too. I didn't buy a bottle of the Bay Rum but about half way home I thought "I should have bought a bottle of the Bay Rum too".
Maybe next week..........
CLubman and Bay Rum have always been my favorites. Really good Bay rum aftershave can also be quite expensive. The best ray rum comes from the West Indies.
Will tell you, the more I use that Clubman Shave Creme, the more I like it....
Totally agree, Mike. I've been using Pinaud's Clubman for years. They make a good powder/talc as well. The Bay Rum is nice, too, and Pinaud makes a third one called Lilac Vegetal, which is a major old-school barbershop flashback scent. You can pick it up online, in drug stores or beauty supply places.
Yes, I like it too... really takes you back - in my case, to my grandpa's barbershop. I have only seen the Clubman in the stores, but have thought about ordering other scents online. I may have to check out Sally's -- haven't been in one for years -- maybe ours has Bay Rum too.
