Shave Prepartion Products...
« on: May 04, 2009, 06:46:44 PM »
What are some good products to use instead of Headblade's "Head Shed", i would prefer something that i can pick up from a local store instead of ordering it online.  Alot of stores have headblades, headlube, and headslick, but i have yet to see head shed at any store.

so whats a good product to scrub your head every other day before you shave instead of head shed?

Almost all the big box stores have St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

Also try scrubbing your head with a 'complexion pad' with some mild soap (like Dove) on it. I usually follow this up with another exfoliator like Headshed. It might be an overkill, but damn my head is smooth.  8)

Almost all the big box stores have St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

Wally World has a generic of this (Equate?) which, having tried both the St. Ives and the Equate medicated, works just as well for about half the price. The medicated one has salycilic acid, very mild and also present in the St. Ives, which I'm told is what loosens and removes the dead skin cells from the skull.
I like the complexion pad idea. Maybe I'll use one with the scrub.
