Hi sbd and welcome. You dont give any indication as to what kind of results you got using your existing razor. It is very much trial and error as what will suit you might not suit someone else. I use fusion on both head and face, but have separate blades for face and head. Check out some of the other boards for some info and take it from there.

I used the Shick eXtreme 3 razor for a long time, then switched to the Gillette Fusion (manual). It's just a matter of personal preference. For the summer, you might want to go with a moisturizer with an SPF factor of at least 15.

If it works--keep it up. I use Fusion, non-power bc the motors die. I also use Nivea Extreme and love it. When I'm in sun, Banana Boat, 30.

Welcome, if it works well, keep it. My personal preference is HeadSlick with the Gillette Fusion.

The Schick Xtreme III was my favorite blade before discovering the Headblade, but if you're pleased with the results, I see no reason to change unless you want to experiment.

Welcome to the sly world, bro. Like the others suggest, no need to fix what ain't broken. Still it is a part of fun of headshaving to experiment a bit. So read around the boards and try out what seems to interest you.
However, the sunscreen is a necessity.

welcome sbd9!
If it's working as is, leave it alone. About every razor from a double edge blade to the Fusion Power are used by guys on this Forum. We all have our preferences......... and none is really better than the other.......... well unless you use a HeadBlade like many of us.
It's the best!

Welcome to SBG's sdb, good to have you join us.
Like many of the guys have said, if something works for you then stick with it.
I also happen to think a lot of the fun with headshaving is experimenting with different razors and razor/blade combo's. You make it part of the lifestyle.
I have a few favorites that I alternate with, and that suits me fine. My tops are the HB, Fusion, and Mach III. I even have a few disposables that give a great shave as well.
But like Mike said, the HeadBlade is my number one, the go to razor of choice.
Just experiment and have fun with it. Enjoy, and keep it smooth.

Welcome...I too used the clippers before finally shaving it off, over 5 yrs. ago...I like the Fusion but for me the most important thing is using shave secret, which is shaving oil...don't be afraid to experiment and go with what works for you

Speaking of new gear, I bought some shave oil that I'm going to combine with the HeadSlick. Hopefully I get a nice shave, if not, I'll scream like a woman.
