Right and nobody likes the Police either unless it's 3am and it's your house being broken into.

I love to read about what all you guys are doing, and feel for those that have lost their jobs and are finding it hard to get another.  My wife and I run a small photographic businss but we are more than semi-retired.  We do photographic projects and also wide format printing from our home.  We did have a Kodak lab but ended up having to close it before it wiped us out financially.  We reckoned it was better to loose what money we had in the business than our home and sanity.

I hope those looking for jobs find success very soon.  It's not just about money but also self esteem and confidence.

I know what you mean...  Sanity;  self esteem & confidence.  These are major issues to me.  My dad just says that I have to move on.  But he was never in business and had to walk a mile in my shoes...  Its tough, but yes, we go on.

Good luck to you as well

I do a few things. I just resigned as a YMCA director. I have always been a bartender either part or full time and will be returning to full time in April. This job will also include hiring and training the door/security guys.
On the side I am keeping my hand in the Health & Fitness field by leading a boot camp and developing a kettelbell class for the outdoors/summertime.
.....the quiet brightness of the city disconcerts. Somewhere malfeasance percolates. There is work to be done.

I was in the Canadian Army for a while, Worked in Provinical Corrections for a few years. Now I work in Aviation doing Quality control for a manufacturing company. I did aircraft maintenance, structures and dabbled in avionics before doing the quality control thing.

Supporting a family is not easy like many of you know, so I usually work part time in security or retail to suppliment my income too. 40 hour work week seems to be a thing of the past.
