BReady's Intro
« on: March 24, 2009, 02:06:01 PM »
Hey, guys.

Name's Bill.  I'm 36 years old and a former Marine, so I've been rockin the hight and tight for a while.  Just got to the point that there wasn't enough hair upstairs to make the "tight" part possible haha!  Anyways, I buzzed the whole head with no guard and started lurking this forum.  I've read all kinds of posts on how you all shave your head and what razors/creams you use.  I just started shaving my head and was really surprised how different it looks from clippers to razor!  No comments yet really; we've been having forced vacations in the last couple weeks so I won't see all my co-workers until tomorrow, so I will probably catch hell from those guys.  I don't care though.  I use a mach3 to shave both my head and face and I have been using some generic shaving cream, but I just got the citizen smooth sample that was posted on this forum and it works pretty good too.  Only gripe I have is the way the hair grows back.  I am either doing a real hack job shaving, or patches of my hair grow faster than the rest of my head (might be both).

Anyways,  this forum is pretty cool!  I appreciate the board's invaluable resources and knowledge and stuff!  I don't think I would have considering shaving my head if I hadn't found this website.

CYA,
BReady

welcome BReady,
I agree with you that head shaving with razor looks so much different than the clippers.  If I judged my appearance by what I saw after I used clippers I would hate it to death.

It was a shock, especially after I washed off the shaving cream.  I looked in the mirror and said, "Noooooooooooooooooooo!!  I made a mistake!!  Put it back!"  Haha just kidding.

shdwwlk, thanks man!

Welcome to the fold!

Thank's man!  That HT flattop looks awesome too.  I could never pull that flattop because of my hairline.  There was this barber shop off base that I use to get haircuts at (instead of getting the mystery 5 dollar haircuts from the crazy ladies at the base barber shop) in Jacksonville, NC.  They would give killer high and tights, but they would also straight edge razor the bottom.  It would fade perfectly into the top of your hair.  Your profile pic just reminded me of the fresh haircuts we had for Monday inspection.
