Are you not completely bald?
« on: September 07, 2006, 10:18:11 PM »
Do you still have some hair left?  What helps you keep the confidence to keep it?

I'm curious to know.  I don't want this site to be completely about guys that shave their head.

Well tyler, some of us still have a full head of hair and we just like to shave it all off like myself.  I'm not losing my hair, but somehow shoved into this head shaving thing and now enjoying it.  There will alway be guys with full head of hair that like to shave their heads.  Maybe if I let my hair grow out a little, I might find out I am losing my hair, but at 51 years old, last september 2009 I still had a full head of hair.

I asked a guy I work with pretty much that same question, serious Hamilton 7, and his answer:

"I want to keep what I have left, I don't know why, but I do."

It's an honest answer.  I don't understand it, but it's honest. :/O

It's very funny to me reading some of these very old posts that have shown up today.

Im not lol
I have a #1 buzzcut, I just havent had the courage to go sly yet.  I am still in high school, soon to be college freshmen, and I just seem it would be weird for me to go sly now.

How about a #0 guard buzz cut. Better known in the military as the "induction center" haircut.

It's not confidence in my case but rather periods of laziness about being sly. I'm currently in a non-lazy period, but it's easier to maintain a 0 guard cut than shave every day.....5 minutes in the bathroom with the clippers every week or so, and it's good.

December through April it's a no-guard buzz. May through November it's shaved sly.

In fact I do have some hair left.....In my ears and my nose. Helps keep the bugs out!

Right there with you.  I have a full head of hair, just choose to be Bald By Choice.

Also full head of hair (mostly - higher than average hairline with what would appear to be an "M" shape to it) - but bald by choice.

I have a really uneven pattern of balding...I think it is heading for the horsehoe but not all the way there yet so its a really odd pattern if I let it grow in....

I kept the MPB receded hairline for a long time before finally shaving. As to why I kept it? I'm not sure, lots of the family said it looked good and wasn't a big deal but i wasn't happy, so i shaved, Now the family says it looks good but I am happy.

but its hard to say, some people may just be afraid to shave, I was, but i don't know why.
