hello fellow chrome domes: as most of U know... i'm an avid sports fan. although... i've never watched oj simpson play football (b4 my time). i know that he is a hall of fame football player & that he was one of the greatest nfl players in history.
it's very sad that he will B notoriously known 4 his criminal acts as a murderer & thief. espn reported that oj will serve a minimum 9 years in prison 4 a burglary that he committed in a las vegas hotel. he is living proof that $$$ doesn't buy happiness.
so... how 'bout U? what R your thoughts of oj? when i hear...the word: "OJ"... i think of a "murderer" & criminal. what's your story? good? bad? 4 those of U that saw him play football... i would like 2 hear your stories as well.

well when i hear the word "OJ" i ultimately think of orange juice. oj simpson doesnt even deserve to be thought of lol. he got away with something once. theres no way in hell they would let him off again. although i know A LOT of people will strongly dissagree with me on this but....i think minimum 9 years or w/e is kind of harsh for his robbery. i guess in the long run it makes up for a very small amount of his murder though.

Well it was armed robbery which carries a stiffer sentence and there was a kidnapping charge in there I think.

Sad to say...here was a guy who was a talented football player and aspiring actor that threw his life away.

I have seen OJ play before back in the 70's and he was an exciting player to watch and the first to rush 2000 yards in a single season. The guy had it made and blew it all. I don't know whether it was his arrogance, some sort of mental illness or what but he changed later in life and now he has to pay. It's hard to feel sorry for someone who has had so many chances and as some believe has gotten away with murder...

Hi all. It's been awhile since I've posted. I look every day but just never post. But for OJ, I thought I had to chime in. OJ was convicted of strong arm armed robbery and basically intimidation. I'm not sure if the charges reflected this, but if you think about it, that is what he really did. The sentence he received was less then what was presented to the Judge. I don't think it was long enough. The "short" sentence only shows that it was not retribution from the "murder" he was not convicted of. In reality, the sentence should have been twice the time that he actually received.

I saw the news footage and all I could think about was his daughter sitting there in the courtroom. What another sad day for her, but what respect I also have to see her sitting in there.
Not sure if she was there for him or herself, but I cannot imagine the life she has had through this.
