I know that some people shaved their heads for St Baldrick's or Locks Of Love or did it to support a cancer patient. I would like to hear about those experiences. But I am wondering if any of you have shaved someone else's head for a good cause or to help them in some way.
In my case, there is a man in my church who is about 71. His name is Don and he always gives me a bad time...good naturedly that is!

He has a great shaped head and had the fringe. But it was kept short. So I would gently kid and and tell him that he need to shave his head like me!
Well, he would say to come on over and do it for him. Well, I thought he was kidding, so I didn't give it much thought. But late this spring, he had a stroke. Fortunately, he still has his speach and can walk a little. But it is hard.
So I ended up visiting him and and kidded him about going sly. Well at that point I found out he was serious. So on another visit, I did the deed for him. I have done it a second time since and he has enjoyed the look. It is also doing him a favor as it is hard to go to the barber. So as long as he is able, I will be giving him sly haircuts. Too bad he can't do it himself everyday. But at least he can experience full slyness once in awhile.
Here is a pic of my friend, Don:
Thats awesome. Looks like he enjoys the slick look.
That's a great story Marsh !!
Before I became sly and was still buzzing my head with no guard, my Dad was still living and this was around the summer of 1998. He was in a nursing home and my Mom would never let him buzz his head. We knew his time with us was short and even in the nursing home he would always tell her that he wished he could cut his hair like mine. My Mom finally relented and my wife took the clippers to him not long before he passed , but he was tickled pink that he finally had his head buzzed to the bone.
Great going Marsh. An inspirational story of support for your fellow man.
