Gel. Which just emphasised the thinning.
That's the very reason I didn't use gel.
Hairspray was my weapon of choice.

Conditioning spray for me. Just enough to keep things in place.
I used mousse for a while when I was in high school and later switched to gel. I stopped using the gel when the hair got too thin. In fact, I knew my hair was getting really thin when I would get a haircut and then apply the normal amount of gel only to find that it was waaay too much.

I had really thick hair but it wasn't the type of hair that styled very easily. Back in the day, you never would have convinced me that I'd prefer being bald but I'd never want to go back to the days of shampooing, conditioning, blow-drying and gelling.
You name it and I used it. Having curly, unruly hair in the Gulf Coast humitity sucked. I would get it pretty much the way I wanted it, open the door to go outside and POOF- I looked like an explorion in a Brillo Pad. Thank God I found you guys.
Bryllcream, a little dab will do ya.
I remember the only thing I used was finesse shampoo. Always made my hair shiny and soft
I can just remember Dandruff!
using hairspray and assorted shampoos.
