I, like a couple of other guys, use a loofa pad. I use it every day, w/ soap, follow with some "moisturizing" conditioner, then wrap the dome in a towel, well soaked in straight hot water, rung to damp, then dry off, and set up the "weapons"--brush, oil, Cuticura Soap -- an anti acne soap that seems to prevent red spots--, and my blade of choice, Fusion. Then I remove the towel, and soap again, add the oil, then spray w/ rubbing alcohol, then the Headslick--I also use some gels, like Nivea--it's a mood thing and brush in thoroughly. Then, I apply the blade, w/ and against the grain, then do a quick resoap, oil, gel or headslick and alcohol and a quick second shave. Then the post shave whip w/ hydrogen peroxide on a pad--it is a great check for any missed areas, benzoyl peroxide gel--again for spots, and Nivea loation. It's been twelve hours, in a few areas where the skin is thinnest, I have some really minor 0000 sandpaper. I'm a loofa, brush and alcohol shaving addict.
