I had an experience last week and was curious if anyone else had this happen.
I bought a pack of Mach3 blades, I switch between that and Fusion for some reason. Anyway, I jumped in the shower and loaded up a fresh blade. SCRAPE! ouch, *&$#
Took that one off and put on the second one - yep, you guessed it. Didn't try the rest of them. They felt like they had been used or something. The moisture strip was in good shape, but the blades obviously were not. Anybody else had that happen?
BTW - bought some Fusions the next day. Happy as a clam!!!! -

hey stephen: maybe that's gilette's way of making U a 24-7 fusion shaver.
2 answer your question... thank goodness "no". that has never happened 2 me (knock on wood). glad that the fusion kept ya smooooth.

I certainly wouldn't put it past Gillette to degrade their older product lines to make the Fusion look good.

Sounds like it was a bad batch, or they got sold knock offs -

I think I actually remember some people posting something else up about this in the past. A long while back before I left for a while. Maybe they will catch this thread and give some advice.

A rare occurrence, but I do believe every now and then you may get a bad batch.
I think somehow they just get through the quality check.
Happened to me once or twice, but usually with the cheaper generics.

I would call up Gillette and tell them what happened. I once went through my cupboard and called just about every 1 800 number and complained about the products. I got a HELL of a lot of free swag.

I've found that about every third time I buy a pack of blades (I buy the 2 4-blade pack) I get 1 bad blade per 4 pack, but I think warhawk and cooncatbob might be on to something.
Gillette has been pushing hard to get people to switch to the Fusion. I've noted that Target is carrying a smaller number of Mach III blades and razors than they did a few months ago
and they've got that new commercial with Tiger and the two other guys knocking Mach IIIs out of their hands.
For me, the Fusion is too cumbersome (resulting in a freak bloody accident), I have to spend more time to get a smooth shave, and the blades are too damned expensive
. I think Gillette's race in the "Number of Blades Race" led to a product that accomplished their goal but produced less than desirable sales numbers. If Gillette sacrifices the Mach III to try and force Fusion sales , then I guess I'll have to look at the Shick Quattro.

I agree pate. Let's hope some Gilette executives are looking at this thread, and will take notice.
