Freshly picked vine ripe blueberries and strawberries.  But peaches in season in Georgia are a mighty fine taste too, especially in homemade ice cream.

Ironhorse, do you also like blood sausage? Was offered a plate of that stuff at the Hofbrau Oktoberfest. Had to graciously turn it away. I was told it has a sweet metallic taste due to the fact that it contains pig's blood. The Brits here are accustomed to their own bloody food product, blood pudding. How anyone would consume that stuff beats me?

Now back to the topic at hand, "the fall harvest".
Apples are my favorite fruit. I believe the old saying, "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away".

Peaches here too, the big GA peaches can't be beat.
I also like strawberries... They can be used in many ways 

"Yellow Delicious" "Spartan" and "Macintosh" apples, and pomegranates followed by high bush blueberries
