hey les: welcome 2 the sly fraternity. glad that ya found us. i am a fusion (manual) user & i luv it. it keeps my noggin' the smooooothest. as far as "blade life" , it is different 4 every headshaver. i probably get 6-7 days out of my fusion. remember 2 spray your razor with rubbing alcohol after using it. the rubbing alcohol will extend the life of your blades.

WARHAWK
I owuld recommend the Gillette sensor 3 vlades to use with your hb if you can find them, and I would imagine if they have fusion then they would have sensor 3
Yesterday I went to buy my new blades at the supermarket here in singapore first I look for the gillette sensor with 3 blade but I can't find one here. So Finally I decided to buy the gillette fusion. Because of excitement as soon as I went home I started to shave my head using the fusion.
At first I find it difficult to hold the razor because I was used to the headblade sports. I even have many stroke to make it super smooth as the headblade. As for smoothness its almost the same as the result of headblade but for me the main difference is its does not irritate my skin. Because in headblade sometimes my skin get irritated. But for fusion it does not get me irritated.
And in headblade I cannot shave everyday because it will make my scalp irritated when i use everyday. As for the fusion I will try using everyday and see if my scalp will be ok. Hopefully it will work well coz I really want my head as smooth as possible.
Can u guys give me some advice how you manage to make ur head clean for the whole day. Coz I see some new product in headblade website they have some kind of wet wipes to refresh your scalp through the day. Have you guys use it before? and can I use an ordinary wet wipes instead of the one specially made for bald?
Welcome to SBG's les, good to have you join us.
Your irritation may have come from too many passes. You also haven't mentioned what sort of shave cream or gel you use.
You said you were using a HeadBlade, were you also able to purchase HeadSlick?, You may want to give that a try if you haven't already. Great stuff.
There are also many good shaving oils out there for you to try. One of the best being Shave Secret, as many here can attest to.
Check out the headshaving section of the forum for more tips and info on products.
Good luck.
