does anyone use the gillete fusion razor? i currently use the mach 3 turbo but i just saw the fusion advertised and its looks pretty good. it has 5 blades instead of 2 or 3 which looks good. does it get a closer shave then the mach 3?

hmm.....would you recommend it over the gillete mach 3? the mach 3 has three blades and gets clogged like crazy. i would think the 5 blades of the fusion would be even worse.

I love the Fusion for my dome but it tears my neck up so I can't use it for my face. I've tried the HB and I don't care for it - I know lots of bros on here swear by it, but for me it's just not worth the hassle. I gave mine to Timmay!
You're right Ghost - Fusion gets clogged much easier. I personally don't have any issues with the Mach 3 clogging - just have to run it under hot water after every pass to get the hair out.

I use to use the fusion, but I found it took more work than my trusty Mach 3 to get a smooth shave. The cost of the blades was also a turn off as well as an accident I had when the razor slipped out of my wet hand. Sometimes more isn't better. Stick to the Mach 3.

I´ve lately switched from MACH 3 to Fusion and there´s no turnin back for me..
I´d strongly recommend to get Fusion.. Blades would last around a month if u shave daily and treat ur baldes
properly after shaving..

I have used the fusion on the face and top of the dome for years. I have not found anything that beats it....at least yet.

Ghost,I am using Gillete Fusion. In my humble opinion, with Fusion you get smoother and closer shave than Mach3,but again, those blades are more expensive, but if you can afford it - Fusion > Mach3.
Today I'll test it,one part of head I'll shave with Mach3 and one with Fusion, and I'll tell you results.

It is what I am currently using. I think the Fusion performs better than any other razor that I have found. Mach III is good, but Fusion is just a little better.

I found that the difference in results between the Mach III and the Fusion were minimal. The Fusion was slightly more cumbersome to use because of the larger size of the blade cartridge. That combined with the higher cost, was enough to make me stick with the Mach III. Gillette, however, has been campaigning hard to get Mach III users to switch over to Fusion, so I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually discontinue the Mach III -- or demote it to a disposable razor (there is already a disposable version that I haven't tried). I'll keep using the Mach III for as long as it's an option.

I love the fusion for my head, although like one other person mentioned, its not so great on my neck, the shave isn't as close and more irritation. As for my head though, I recommend it. Each persons skin is different so who knows how it'll come out for you. I think you should give it a try though. If you do so let us know what you think, for all you know it might be the perfect razor for you and you'll inspire another

I've been using the fusion for over a year now and I love it, but hate the cost. After reading reviews of the Head Blade and being fearful of slicing my skull is when I changed from the Mach 3 to the fusion. I hold it similar to the way the head blade is held (to the extent possible) and I get good results. I feel like it gives me a closer shave than the Mach 3, but it still doesn't completely get rid of "The Shadow"; however the blades do last longer.

I go between the Fusion and Mach3. I like the fusion better, but the Mach3 is less expensive.
I bounce back and forth based on what's on sale.

If your noggin is prone to razor burn... I'd stay away from 5 blades!
