Bald Guyz makes a head wipe that does really well with removing excess oil and other crud that you will build up right after shaving without stripping your head like a tile floor. and it smells "sexy" as my wife puts it

I say let it shine!
Most of the time I prefer my noggin' shiny, but every now and then I will use my Headlube matte.
It all depends on how you feel. Try different things, see what works for you.
