Downloaded and tried the new web browser put out by Google called "Google Chrome".  I used it for about an hour and I did not like it........I usually use Mozilla Firefox, Has anyone else tried it, and if so how did you like it?

I've tried various other browsers, but good ol' Internet Explorer (the version where you can open up multiple tabs in the same "launch" is handy for me.

When I lose this function by trying other browsers, it don't last, man....it just don't last.

Have you tried Chrome Rob? It has the same multi-tab style functionality that good ol' IE has but it's lighter, quicker and you get so much more actual viewable window real estate. As far as I can tell it possess all of the same IE functionality. I'll definitely let you all know if I run into ant glitches.

I downloaded it again,and I have been using and looking around very closely.....The have an "Incognito" page that you can use if you want to do some sneeky stuff and not have it show up in any  history.......

I knew you'd find something to like about this browser. It's got me. It's so simple...maybe too simple.

The introduction of Google's Chrome is an interesting development, as it's much much more than "just another browser".

Chrome is Google's next move in supplanting traditional operating systems with the "browser as the operating system", in which applications are run from a network "cloud" rather than the local system.

Microsoft needs to be very very afraid.

I just downloaded Chrome, and I don't like it.  I like the aesthetics, but most everything else I don't like.

The only glitches I've seen so far (aside from only being available for Windows) is its handling of PNG translucencies. And its form autocompletion is applied rather haphazardly.

Luckily, it's based upon the WebKit renderer (same as used by Apple's Safari and the Omni Group's OmniWeb, as well as Adobe AIR) so at least it's not a completely new renderer for us web devo types to have to worry about. But it is another browser that we'll need to test on.
