Hello everyone. Hope you're well.
Starting a new job in the city, and want to look right. My girl wants me to keep it long but I don't. Any advice?

the long hair in todays youth seems to be popular. You dont look that old...maybe 19 or so? Do what you feel is right for yourself. Me personally I would cut it off...and try the slick look. You maybe surprised. I know your gf says to keep it...but let her get a look at you slick and sly and you may have the same gf but with a different outlook....hopefully for the better. Keep us posted.

Looks like you've got alot of options. Don't be afraid to try SLY. You might just like it. If not, it will alway grow back.
Best of luck.

Well, I'm back from the barbers, with a digi-pic if you're interested! Glad it's summer! My girl has not seen me yet.

Here come ole flat top, he come groovin up slowly!!
I realize you are doing this for your new job, but I have to say it looks tight man. You definately look more mature.

One thing you will realize is how easy it will be now to keep your hair straight, which is something most of us on this site have not missed at all.
Not sure what type of job your are going to but I hope its something that makes you feel accomplished. Good luck to you.
PS.... the first line if from a Beatles song, Come Together!

Thanx.
It was a big change for me and will need a bit of adjusting to, I suppose. I do look older. A
lot of hair on the floor. Any more opinions?
My new job is in an I.T. company.

FYI if you google image search David Beckham without safesearch it's mostly naked dudes, i should of probably anticipated that.

It seemed a great idea this morning. And it (sort of) still does.
But I've also been rubbing my bristly head and wondering if I've done the right thing. And what my girl is going to think.

No offence intended, but I think it makes ya look like
you've had a piano dropped on ya head.
Definitely go for the Beckham look if you're not brave enough to take it all the way down,
you look like you have a good shaped head. Minus the piano.

man, if she leaves you for that - better now than later. I know it's easy for me to say from the outside, but don't waste your time if she judges you by your hairstyle. If your confident in your new look, i'm sure she will love it, and just be happy to see you.
And for the record, I agree with the others on shaving it down to a buzz. It would be a good look for you.

Haha. I always respect people who speak their mind. I think I'll start a poll!
Wasn't talking about my girlfriend leaving me - won't come to that. But I know she liked my hair. Am I a selfish dirty dog?
As for the DB thing, I'm not sure. But I've already had so much hair cut off that it wouldn't be a huge step.

Go for it. The flattop is an improvement over the shaggy look, but to be perfectly honest, it's a bit dated. Can't remember the last time I saw someone with a haircut like that, especially someone your age. Why get a haircut for an IT job, anyway? I thought that was one profession where pretty much anything goes as far as personal appearance goes.
What part of New Jersey are you from?

It looks like you can sport a number of looks with your hair, and that's cool. I wish I had those options. Now's the time to try whatever you feel like. The DB look would look cool; slick would too... never hurts to try. And I agree with the guys... I would never want to waste my time with someone who judges you by your hair. Hopefully the gf is ok with whatever you want to do. Your first pic almost reminds of David Cook, American Idol winner. By the way, has anyone thought that he might be hiding some MPB? I always thought that.

Oo, feeling a bit deflated now. Not many people like it. And I'm damn sure Jen won't.
But you're right. She won't judge me on my haircut!
