So I have a Gilette Sensor double blade that, using the advice I've gotten from this forum, I've stretched out to lasting an epic 14 shaves. How do I know when to throw this sucker out and put a new blade on my Headblade? Should I keep tempting fate and use it until it cuts me ( it's still providing a VERY close shave)
I for one do not tempt fate when it involves razors and my head.

I'd be thankful that you got 14 days and put a new one on. I've found that after 7 days my Sensor blade starts degrading fast.
Saving an extra 1,5 cents just to gamble on if you cut yourself on the next shave isn't my idea of gambling, Put a new blade on now and be thankful for 14 shaves out of 1 blade that I think is amazing
Don't tempt fate..... it's not worth that gash that you WILL get from using an old blade. The temptation to extend a blades use is huge... but don't fall prey to the temptation.........
I'm an old skinflint and in the past have tried to squeeze the most out of my razors. I have found that this is not really worth it. You will find that the shave you get is not up to scratch and by making repeated passes and pressing harder you will cut yourself.
I change the blade in my razor every week now. I generally find that the first shave with a new cartridge is much better than the day before which to my mind means that the old blade had reached the end of its life.
I use the Headblade for my head and a Sensor Excel for my face, shave daily and change blades every 4-5 days tops. I could go longer, I'm sure... but I don't like cuts and for less than the cost of going to McDonalds just one time I can have fresh blades all month.
Thanks for the advice guys....Threw the old one away and put a new one on this morning because of it.

way to avoid the cut

seems the rule of thumb for most is about a week. Just remember don't mess with what gives you the perfect dome.
