Scariest Movie You Have Ever Seen
« on: July 03, 2008, 08:41:06 PM »
Just wondering what you consider to be the scariest movie you have ever seen. Personally for me it is pretty even between The Silence of the Lambs and The Exorcist

Our country demands all our strength, all our energies. To resist the powerful combination now forming against us will require every man at his place. If victorious we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.

I gotta tell you that it was the very first Friday the 13th movie. I saw that at a drive-in on (Friday, June 13th, 1980) and it scared the sh!t outta me!!!!!

I had nightmares for days!! Of course this was before I went into the military. Now I don't have nightmares about Jason, I have nightmares about much more evil individuals. :'(

The Shining -- saw it when I was a teenager (yes I'm carbon dating myself).  Jack Nicholson was incredible playing that part.  It still bothers me to see it, but that first time really freaked me out.  I'm not too much into scary movies unless they are psychological thrillers.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

I think I was 12 when I saw "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", not the bogus, Donald Sutherland remake, the original, better and scarier version with Kevin McCarthy...  Seems a bit dated now, but it was scary in its day.

The Exorcist never really scared me. It was suspenseful, but not really scary.

Alien scared the pee out of me.  The very first Friday the 13th scared me too.  Kind of cheesy now that look back on it, but scary at the time.
