I seem to be having a problem and was wondering if any of you baldies had had the same.
I am developping tiny warts on my scalp which I , of course, keep cutting off. They bleed like hell and I believe the cutting just spreads them.
I also have some keratoses (small non cancerous lesions) but these seem stable.
I have been shaving for over a quarter century and never had those probs before. Any ideas?
i don't really have an answer but when it doubt about "skin issues"... i'd check in with a dermatologist.
WARHAWK
once a year at the dermatologist-say over 40ish-is necessary-we all get these brown spots, pigmentation spots, and what they call pre-pre skin cancers. They either freeze them, burn them or cut them. DOnt "f" around.
My MD is the one who told me about the keratoses and I've had warts on other spots all my life - genetic thing : my dad was the same as is my brother. Thing is, I don't usually shave my hands, armpits and other areas.
I'm not worried about the seriousness of the situation but it bugs the hell out of me to knick one of the buggers off when I shave and I thought someone might have a trick to solve this.
My MD says ''don't shave, you won't bleed''. Makes senses but after all these years bald, even a few days with hair are like wearing a hat 24hrs a day. It just makes me crazy so I shave again and the problem is back.
