After nearly two years of repeatedly shaving and letting my hair grow back, I've decided to stay smooth for good. I love being bald...the coolness during Summer, the ease of maintenance, not paying for haircuts/shampoo, being a little different...I love everything about it. The problem is, my wife hates the look. For a long time, I wanted to please her, so I tried to keep my hair longer, but it drove me nuts. Don't get me wrong. I love her more every day. We've been married for 25 years! But this issue has been a problem for us like few I can remember. Maybe if I had the "perfect" head she wouldn't be so against my baldness. I think I look fine from the front, but the back is kind of lumpy (bone structure), I have a few scars and I have a big head. But hey, it's the way I am. I know that a lot of people think I look better with hair, but that's okay with me. I figure it's really all about confidence. If I'm confident in who I am, then I think in the long run, people will respect my decision. Some have even said I look younger and better bald. This is a great group. Looking forward to more posts.

You have a great looking scraped dome! Very natural look for you...sorry the wife isn't on board, but you know how are you going to make her happy, if you're not happy!
Glad you are sticking to the bald head, for YOU...THAT is really what being SLy and shaving your head is all about anyways!

Welcome! No need to worry about the back, the only time people will see that is when you are walking away from them, so if anyone points it out all you do is tell them if they don't like looking at the back of your head then they can look at your a$$ cause you're not turning around to give them the time of day!
It definitely suits you though! I couldn't imagine you with hair so keep it sly and enjoy the site! -

You certainly got the SLY attitude! Just sit down your wife, and tell her that you like being bald, and she may dislike it, but it makes you happy. Most women will understand, though she may use it against you later

That's one great looking bald head! Lots of us have lumpy heads in the back - I've never seen you with hair, but your photo looks like you've been bald for a long time - very natural.
