hello fellow chrome domes: have U ever participated in bungee jumping or sky diving? i'll start: well... i've tried bungee jumping (once). i remembered like it was yesterday. i was in my early 20s and my girlfriend and i were spending the weekend in panama city beach, florida. anyways... we were having a good time and she "dared" me 2 go bungee jumping. anyways... being young and "dumb"... i said... "sure... i'll do it". anyways... while i was in line waiting. all the potential bungee jumpers like me had 2 sign these insurance papers in case if we got injured that we wouldn't sue them. i shoulda stopped and turned around but being young and "dumb" i signed the papers.

while waiting in line... i noticed that the "jump" was equilivant to a 20 story building. well... it was my turn and me & the bungee employee went in this cage-like container in which we were up 20 stories.

as we finally stopped... we were 20 stories up and i was having 2nd thoughts.

well... i couldn't back down and look like a "chicken" or coward in front of my girlfriend. right??? anyways... i closed my eyes and free-falled. man... what a rush!!! that was fun but i don't think that i'll do that again.

so... how 'bout U? have U ever participated in bungee jumping? sky-diving? thinking about? wanna try it? or heck no... i'm never doing either. what's your story?

Well Mel,
First they'd have to have one heck of a strong bungee and a high enough platform for me to try it, I'd probably hit ground before it snaped back up. Having said that, I'd realy love to try sky diving or even hand gliding, even if only just once.

I havent tried either...although I almost took a dive off my ladder this evening while working on my siding and I was only 2 stories up...I dunno...always said I would be brave enough to do it but have never done it. One thing that I seen at Panama City Beach was that thing that they tie you to and pull you back and you go soaring thru the air like you are flying..now that might be cool...but to jump straight down in hopes teh cord isnt long enough to hit the ground...I would be shittin my pants...Maybe I will bungee with my red and whites...anyone wanna come watch??

I'm with Tom, on the bugee, I've never seen one that didn't have a weight limit that I fit into so dam I guess I'll never be able to bungee

As far as sky diving goes I ain't getting a perfectly good plane let alone jupming out of the dam thing

I'd go skydiving, a guy I used to work with was going to take me, but he quit before we got the chance. After riding bulls, there's not much I wouldn't do.

Never done either activities and you could not pay me enough to try.
I have an intense fear of heights, I get cold sweats and panic attacks whenever I am more than 20 feet above the ground. I freaked out in a glass bottomed elevator once that went up the outside of a casino. Got to about the 40th floor and had to sit down and close my eyes. My palms were literally dripping with sweat.
Kudos to anyone who has the balls to have bungee jumped or sky-dived. My best friend went sky-diving a few years ago and he said the adrenaline rush that he got from it lasted all day.

I don't think my back could handle a bungie.
I had a trip planned in J-ville to skydive with a co-worker who did it all the time. 2 weeks before the trip he slipped in his shower and had a blood clot form in his neck, he stroked out and it paralized him. He told me he thought he was gonna die, was a bad deal. Took a while for him to learn to speak again. I gotta say he has made the best of it though. He doesn't have full use of his right arm, but he actually does archery by pulling the arrow back with his teeth.
Anyway, I just didn't feel right booking another trip since then, haven't met anyone I trust enough to show me how to properly pack a chute!

And why would I want to leave an airplane if it was still working?
