HeadLube (mattte) convert

I'd been interested in trying "Matte for Men" but it's not available in Canada (or at least my wonderfully provincial part of the contry); Neither were many HeadBlade products to be found (except the headblade itself and the shave cream) .. But lo and behold ; one local Drugstorre had ONE bottle of HeadLube (matte) ; so I bought it. And love it ! Very moisturizing; and takes down the high gloss for that 'understated' look. ...
Another question; what are some opinions on the HeadSlick Shaving Cream?

Hey I love the headblade products, but I have found I like to use Edge shaving gel best. I used headslick and liked it because it is menthol, but the edge gel works better for me. I am a matte user and LOVE IT!!! Take it easy!

The HeadSlick cream is one of the best shaving products around in my opinion. I would say you would like it if you gave it a shot. Like NAVRN said, it's mentholated so it gives you that cool soothing feeling while your shaving and afterwards. It's also low foaming so you can see what you're doing. And they don't call it HeadSlick for nothing. It's pretty slick stuff to give you a good razor glide. Hope this helps buddy.
What are you using right now?

Right now I'm using Edge Gel; a fragrance free, hypo-allergenic variety. Works pretty well. I saw that the headslick shave cream was mentholated. Is that the only way it comes? Is it "smelly"? I really don't like wearing fragrances of any kind; so don't want to go around smelling 'minty' But if it's basically fragrance free I might give it a try. The fact that it's very slick; as you say, Lance, makes it sound very promising.
Thanks for the feedback, NAVRN and Lance.

John-
I use the HeadSlick shaving cream and love it. It is mentholated but the smell is VERY mild. It is very refreshing on the scalp and very slick. I highly recommend it. As with any mentholated product..... it will burn if you get it in your eyes.
you only need to use a very small amount so a container lasts me about 4 months.

As Mike said, it's not overpowering at all. The only problem I do have with it is that it tends to dry up too fast for me. Seems like if I don't shave quickly I have to apply more. I've switched back to my KoS oil because of this.

JM-
Headslick is very good shave cream. It is very good whipped up with a brush too! It is a mild smell and wont offend. Glad you like Headlube though! For me it makes me feel a lil greasy

Don't get me wrong headslick is great and like Lance said it has low foam so it is easier to see what you are doing. As far as the menthol... it just feels good and wakes you up if you are a shower shaver. I never noticed a aftersmell residue. Check it out... worth it.

I have been using the headslick matte since going sly, the shave cream has been somewhat mixed. I'm looking at using the shaving oils as i have been having small bumps start to appear now and then.Plus,i hate to say,the smell of the shaving lotion by Headblade does not smell all that great. So i will be searching out the oils tonight and will report back how it goes.
Otherwise,i do love the HeadBlade products.

A shaving lotion that doesn't smell that good isn't cool.

I like the Head Slick quite a bit. As for the Head Lube, I really like it but use the glossy.
