Tired of my bumpy chin. Single blade suggestions?
« on: March 28, 2008, 02:33:48 PM »
Hey guys.  Surprisingly enough, my head has become well accustomed to headshaving without bumping (using the Gillette Sensors dual blades).  The only part I'm having a lil bit of a problem with is my back hairline but I'm being persistent with it....Unfortunently, using the same razor, my chin is still bumping up despite using the anti bump solution stuff Nick912 has advised.  I think I will ultimately need to go to a single blade razor for the chin.  Does anyone have some good suggestions?  Any single blade razor solutions compatible with the Headblade?  Thanks guys.

Man.. the only single blades that I've seen are those terrible Bic disposables. I bet those would make your problem even worse.

I've use the Bic disposables for years and, yeah it's a manly shave but it gets the job done.  I've never seen a single blade in a cartridge.

have you thought about the old double edge safety razor. you can pic one up cheap on ebay and buy the blades at walmart cheap also. it gives the ultimate shave and people have said it doesn't leave in grown hairs and shave bumps.i was watching a you tube vid and he was demonstrating DE shaving to a African American man and commented to him about how it wont give him the shave bumps like a cartridge blade will.

search the old post in this section and they talk a lot about DE shaving.not to mention the blades are pennies. i got 8 good shaves out of a derby blade and it only cost me .16 cents. a crystal blade i get only 4 shaves but i also use it to shave my head also.

I was just at Wally World last night and picked up a Headblade and shave oil. Going to give it a try and see what all the hype is about.
While there I saw that they carry single blade disposable cartages. They were by a company called Persona (I think) and were called Bump guard. They were cheep, only $6 for 10 blades.
The blades as well as a  complete line of products to help with ingrown hairs and shaving bumps were in a separate section where the hair and face products for African Americans are located.
