Sorry, Rob, man....hope you enjoyed yer two free shots
Now we need some advice as to how to effectively nurse a hangover.
Do you do the aspirin, B-12 and 20 oz. of water before you go to sleep?
Or do ya just cowboy up the next day?
I'm a tough SOB...

Definitely not reminiscent of the McMahan days

The more shocking thing than rex grossman's crappy play was the bears D sucked by their standards.
At one point indy had 63 offensive plays to 23 for chicago. The colts got over 150 yards rushing on 30 plus carries.
Granted the bears best offense was devin hester and the fear he later instilled on kickoffs, but the D let manning do a lot of what he wanted as well.
But this game was sloppy. 7 turnovers, twice where we saw back to back turnovers.

Yep... Grossman played like crap, bad decisions... Defense decided that they were going to take the game off... helluva time to do that!
Oh well, the golden child Peyton Manning got his Super Bowl win... and somehow got the MVP as well, even though it should have gone to Rhodes!

I think addai was as deserving as rhodes. They both killed the bears. Don't forget addai had 10 rec 66 yards as well.
Manning outside of that first series played solid, but the bears got nothing out of their front four. Tommie Harris's absence was felt tonight.

I do think Rex had a bad game, but he might be able to mature a bit and learn to settle down and not force the issue. If he can do that, the Bears should be back in the bowl next year.

Don't get me wrong... Da Bears as a whole have some work to do, but I've been behind Grossman all the way whether it's Good Rex or Bad Rex that shows up. Of course, Bad Rex frustrates me!!
I look at it as the kid just finished his first full season.... he's been in the league 4 years, but due to injuries, he really was still a rookie this year.
If past history is any indication, then the 07 Bears are going to be angry next season and destroy any team that gets in their way...

(84 team lost the NFC championship, came back in 85... and well, we all know how that turned out!!)

Urlacher is a real down to earth from what I've heard. One of my ex-girlfriends went to high school with him down in Lovington. He still remembers where he came from and owns part of a car dealership down around Lovington. I respect him because after he signed his contract with Da Bears, he bought his step-dad a brand new pickup. From what I understand, his step-dad was very instrumental in his HS football career and his raising.

Urlacher is like one of those guys from the 70's - true grid iron player. Ranks up there with LT, Butkis, etc. The dude just looks mean when he's on the field.

The announcers were putting him in the same class with Butkis last night too. The man is an all around class act.

So why wasn't Grossman benched? They had Grease on the bench, who absolutely destroyed the Lion's when Grossman was playing like garbage. And to play like garbage against the Lions is embarrassing. Though I can appreciate that the Lions and the Bears are totally different teams, could Grease really have done worse?
