New Bald Guy
« on: January 28, 2008, 06:25:42 PM »
Hello everyone.  I am a relatively new bald guy.  I "Bic-ed" my head for a while and got fed up with cutting myself all the time and just about gave up until I found my first headblade.  I have never been happier!
On the other hand, I am a NCAA lacrosse at a small school in the North Carolina mountains.  My family was shocked and intrigued with my new haircut.  My longtime girlfriend has still not warmed up to it, but she will come around.  I found the website accidentally but I am glad I stumbled upon it.  I look forward to finding everything there is to find that has to do with shaving my head!

In response...I decided to go sly because my buddy told me that if i went down to the skin, I would never go back.  I didn't think that he would be right.  I started shaving with regular shaving gel and disposable razors.  My head was always cut up and burned when I went in the shower.  I almost gave up until I bought the headblade over christmas break.  Ever since then, I shave every day to a day in a half in about half the time of a regular razor.  I use Headslick and find it to be very helprfull.  I heard about the headblade while jst surfing Youtube to try to find a better way to shave my head.  For christmas, I never thought that the cheapest gift would get the most use and be my favorite!

Try the Bald Guyz moisture gel also, great stuff for after the shave!

Hey PHarrison,

I HeadBladed for a while when I first started shaving my dome.

I switched over to higher priced Gillettes. Initially Mach3, then Fusion and now Fusion Power. My Headblade has been gathering dust ever since.

I have to go with Eric on this one.  The Fusion is the best thing for head shavers I have found.  I use it for my face too.  Just do everything from the neck up at one time.

I also personally prefer the headblade, but everyone's head is different.  I would recommend that a new shaver try as many different products as possible.  You never know when you might find something better than you are currently using.  I finally settled in on a Headblade Sport, Gillete Sensor Excel Blades, Headslick, Baby Oil, and Headlube for my routine, but I would try something new - because you never know...
