Shaved head required?

I did once see a couple years ago a special on A&E channel, it was about police officer recruits and ALL the new dudes HAD to show up to the first day of basic, SHAVED SLICK- BALD ("no stubble at all" as one recruit told his barber on the show) and they stay that way daily through basic!
Now THAT'S how the marines should change up basic training too!
Reading this made me wonder: has anyone ever heard of a job/profession for which a shaved slick bald head was a requirement?

Would be kind of cool, though, wouldn't it? A great "way out" for the fence-sitters.

Actually I read somewhere a while back that the Blue Man Crew guys don't shave. They wear rubber skull caps.

I have heard of municipal and some state police academies around the country where the cadre/training/tac officers tell recruits to get the Schicks on the face and head daily. I thank God that military haircuts and shaved heads made a comeback in the military ground forces and many police departments.

Hare Krishna? Bouncer? Cult member? Mr Clean impersonator? (I've done 2 of the 4 listed, btw)
I can't think of any careers where a shaved head is required, although I notice there are a lot of sly police officers.

true...never thought of that. Much rather be amongst 'the elite' than just one of the crowd!

I can vouch for the skull caps on blueman...
I went to the Superstar 2.0 concert here in Phoenix a few weeks ago... one of them came into the crowd and took the lady in the seat next to me up on stage. Being that close to the performer, there was no question that he had a cap that covered his hair & ears.
