I would love to wear sunglasses, but it took me 3 month just to find glasses frames I liked, I doubt sunglasses would be any easier! [or cheaper!]

That's funny, Padre. I have to admit there have been a few times I've picked up a pair from Dollar General or even the dollar store. They usually lasted about week. Buy, hey, they were only about a buck

I've got a pair of Ray Bans similar to Dino's but with a slightly more rectangle lens, love em. Have been a huge fan of the Killer Loops but could not find anything that I liked in them before.
The key to cool shades is not the cost (if you don't care about lens quality) but to make sure the shape complements your head shape. If your lucky enough to find someone at a sunglasses store that knows crap or even cares about helping you find the right pair your golden. Sadly most say "Those look good" to no matter what you slap on your mug.
"How do these big Elton John, sparkley bedazzled, pink glasses for $250 look on me?" reply: "Oh those make you look tough" while batting her eyelashes at you and thinking of her commission.....

I have two pairs of Arnettes and a pair of RayBan aviators.
Shadow, have you thought about getting sunglasses made with the same frame as your prescription glasses? I think it will look good.

I had a great pair of Arnettes that I purchased in Mexico for $150 but they were stolen by some crackhead who broke into my old workshop. They even took a dump right in the middle of the floor.

Well not only were my sunglasses stolen but also a fair amount of tools and other supplies(chlorine, chemicals). The Insurance Claims officer even took a photo of the offending mess.

Very dark lenses and aviator style--cheap price was usually my model before shaving, brand names--NEVER--but I got some since shaving, again cheap-$10--that only have a model # and a note made in Italy, they're more rap around, and look good w/ the Sly style. Only problem, if I don't put them up top the "gleamer" if I'm not using them, the "rap around" style also makes them very bulky for the pocket.

I guess your Dollar General is the equivalent to a Dollar Tree Store.
Bought a few pair there this past summer. To me it makes no sense to spend a great deal on a pair of shades. I'm always losing them, anyway.
I have a pair of Tommy Bahamas for special occasions.

Hey Rodger. Dollar General is kinda like Dollar Tree. Except everything isn't a dollar. Probably more like a Wal-Mart, only smaller. I've bought cheap shades at both places and the dollar shades from Dollar Tree held up just about as good as the $5 - $10 pair from Dollar General. Either way, I'm like you. I either lose them or break em. I would like to find a really good pair for special occasions.
