I am definitely the driver. My wife doesn't like to drive long distances and she won't drive at night at all. I prefer driving at night when the kids will sleep and there is less traffic.
Thats the same as me and my wife there bro...She doesnt like to drive at night at all..says she cant see as well...she always cuddles up with her pillow and blankie....I love driving at night...when we all pile in the van heading for Florida...the kids are all knocked out....wife is asleep...2 am in the morning we hit Atlanta....smooth sailing..just me and the road and my energy drink! OH YEAH Baby....and jamming to the Eagles.
I drive. I can't stand to be a passenger when my wife is driving. I'd rather ride with my 86 year old Grandmother, and she is dead.
i'm fine as a rider or passenger. My 93 year old grandmother still prefers to be the driver (started driving school when she was 10; has never had a wreck) when she goes anyplace.

up until about six months ago my granny was a lead foot. I guess before my time there was a cop stopped, giving some one a ticket. My grandma was going too fast, swerved and ran into a big blue mail box on the other side of the street. Grandpa told me He dropped his clipboard and his jaw.
I do the driving 100% of the time. I love to drive. My wife has never learned to drive. I tried twice to teach her but she doesn't like it. No problem there. If she doesn't drive, no extra car expense, no surprise shopping trips, etc.
I do the driving on short and long trips. My wife takes the wheel when she is the "designated driver" after a function that involves alcohol...
