Not balding I would say, and like the other fellas said, if you are starting to get the "hole in back", then I would say you are. It's really a matter of your choice and what you feel comfortable with.
I think if you are curious about shaving, give it a go, see how you like it. We generally recommend a thirty day period so you can get used to the new look and to shaving.
