Even though I was only in first grade when the sixties ended, it still brought back some memories.  Thanks for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed it.  It was from an email my dad sent to me.  I'm trying to figure out why he sent it to me, since most of it is before my time and I was too young to remember what wasn't.   ???

The crime rate was definitely lower back then.

Because small towns in the American South ran about ten years behind the rest of the country, the "Psychedelic 60's" did not hit until almost 1970!  It was a fairly calm era and the only national events that stand out in my mind are the Kennedy Assasinations, the Moon Landing and the '68 Presidential Elections.
