New Fusion commerical
« on: October 27, 2007, 10:23:46 PM »
Has anyone seen the new Fusion commercial that claims that the Fusion gives a better shave than the Mach III?  Nothing particularly memorable about it, but I thought it was interesting how Gillette is pitting two of its own products against each other.

They won't convert me.  The Fusion does a good job, but I'm not paying $4 per blade.  I have a four-year supply of Mach III Turbo blades on hand, so it will be a while before I even think of trying anything else!! 8)

I use the HB sport abd the fusion for my face but recently I've been getting better coordination at using the fusion for the dome and I do like it. My mach is long gone, so I guess I'm stuck with what I have lol

I got a Fusion in the mail a couple of years ago as a free trial.  It worked alright, but I didn't feel like ponying up the money for the blades so I stuck with my Sensors.  Needless to say, I was happy when I opened my Headblade package and saw the Sensor adapter.

Razor, I just saw that commercial watching the World Series and then saw this thread.  It's the same thing they've always done in their advertising campaigns.  I'm just curious what they'll come up with after the Fusion.

Don't know, but I think they're approaching the limit on how many blades they can put on one razor.  One of the things I don't like about the Fusion is that it is a bit bulky.

That would be my guess!

Quintippio commercial - hilarious. It does make you wonder, what will they come up with next. I think five blades is pushing what the face can handle. Also pushing what the wallet can handle.

Yeah, how many blades are too many? I only recently went to 3 blades on my face razor and had a longer than expected "break-in" period. I can't imagine added one or two more. Wow Razor, that's a heck of a blade supply you got there. I should look into Atra generics for my HB Classic before they are discontinued.

I bought 100 blades for $95 off eBay a few months ago.  At 2 weeks per blade, they'll last about four years.

I am slowly moving backwards in my razor and shaving methods (aside from the Headblade) I am trying to get my double edge safety razor cleaned up so I can use that. I went from the fusion back to the mach 3 and went from shave gel to the soap and brush methods of olden times.
