Giuliani
« on: November 14, 2006, 01:29:53 PM »
:D Ahoy,  mates. Now that he's beaten prostate cancer, married  a new wife, cleaned up and defended NYC, and graduated from a truth-denying comb-over, don't you think we should get behind unapologetically bald Rudi Giuliani's bid for the presidency?  Wouldn't it be  great if an intelligent, articulate, and bald guy could cop the White House, thereby proving that the leader of the free world need look like a  Hollywood male mannequin? There is probably as much, if not more, gray matter beneath the chrome dome as beneath the thatch of a Kennedy, Kerry, or Clinton. If Willis can change the image of the hero in the movies, why can't Giuliani change it in politics? High time this nation let bald leaders, shakers and movers move out of the sidelines into the shine-enhancing spotlight. Do you agree? Professor Melon

I think it's always great to have positive people in the media sporting the bald look.  George Bush started a trend of people wearing silver-blue ties with blue suits instead of the ol' red power tie.  Maybe Giuliani would help get guys to sport a bald pate instead of a comb-over.  All we need to do is have him wear a Sly Bald Guys t-shirt and bam, we've got a double whammy!

:D If you could get Giuliani to shave off the rim AND wear the Sly Bald Guys t-shirt, that would be a coup. Prof. Melon

I have some friends that work with the John McCain, maybe I can get him to shave his head and wear one...

Wow, never looked at McCain that closely before. If ya straightened out that comb over, it would probably go down to his chin. He would look better bald.

well , would be cool to have a bald president of the usa. btw. im not from the us, im from germany.

but please dont just vote for him coz he is bald! its about politics , not about looks. well actually it SHOULD be. anyway i think he is a good politician.

actually all past presidents had hair. if you re from the us you know that very well. so seems like its not only about politics, its even about looks.

i wont be able to vote for us president , but if i could i would vote for guiliani. i saw what he did on 09-11 and it was great how he did it. i even heard some other good things about him. maybe that he is bald makes him think more about other people and care for them. not like bush. bush is for me an excentric egoistic a$$hole. well, i dont know much, but i in my opinion he did the war in iraq just coz saddam tried to kill his dad. i mean invasing iraq doesnt have anything to do with anti-terrorism-war , nor did have anything to do with mass - destruction - weapons and i even dont think it had much to do with oil coz the war costs so much that you wont get this money back coz you have power on the oil now.

sorry to go a bit off-topic but i think guiliani should get a chance to be president and people shouldnt vote AGAINST him coz he is bald. not that i would but if you look at the past presidents -like i said- they all had hair and looked like hollywood actors.

maybe now where bruce willis and vin diesel make the shaved look or the bald look more fashion a bald guy gets a chance to be president. much in the us is about hollywood. hollywood is the picture which all want to copy. its the dream factory. and dreams are much what is life about. so its no wonder that people try to make their life like it is shown by hollywood.

The Great Golfer, General, and President Eisenhower was the original sly guy.  Mrs. Eisenhower even joked about how she liked to rub "Ike's bald head"

Rudy may look cool, but do you know his views on health care, among other things?  (see Michael Moore's new movie).  I mean, looks aren't everything.

I don't see any mention of politics  (or religion for that matter).  Am I missing something.  Did I read through the link too fast?

You're right John, it wasn't mentioned there.  It has always been a rule here, but I can't find where we actually posted that.  I've now updated the Posting Guidelines as it relates to Political and Religion as topics.
