Rockingbeat. first of all, Welcome. I had been using the quattro titanium for about a month and thought that it was a really good razor. Almost as good as the Fusion at about half the price.

Welcome, Rockingbeat. Nice dome -- looks like you were made for the Sly pate.

Thanks for all the support- my sister saw it on Facebook and thought it was on a dare!

I just shaved again this morning. I'm going to try the Fusion to see how it compares. I'm a Junior in college, and my real name is Adam. This actually isn't the first time I shaved it- Freshman year a friend in my hall buzzed it off and I charged "admission" to my hall mates. I let it grow back, but I've been looking at pictures at myself and noticed I usually didn't care enough about my hair to keep it trimmed and neat looking, and I notice it was receding a bit, making my widow's peak stand out. It's not like I was trying to hide my baldness or anything, it's just something I was curious about trying. I really like how it feels freshly shaved, and will definitely give it the "30 day trial." A classmate told me I looked like Mr. Freeze the first day I came to class with my head shaved

I think I'll probably shave it only Monday, Wednesday and Friday when I don't have class until the afternoon and I'm not in a rush. Good advice elsewhere on the forum for using baby lotion- I like how soft it makes my scalp. I'll check back in and let you know how I like the Fusion- and whether it is worth the premium price!

Rockingbeat, welcome aboard! I'm sure the euphoria over your sly dome will "grow" on you as you try it out for 30 days - worked for the rest of us!

Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while, but allow me to welcome you to the SBG family rockingbeat. As all of the others have said, you should keep the Sly look, or atleast give it the recomended 30 trial, but I'll bet you'd decide to keep it after the first young lady walks up to you and gives you your very first Head Rub as a Sly Bald Guy

I used the Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titaniium here in the UK. I believe it's the same as the Schick Quattro. For my face I use the Fusion Power.

My hair was getting kind of long and shaggy, so instead of just trimming it I decided to shave my head. I used a Gilette Sensor 3, but I got some nicks, so when I shaved it again this week I used a Shick Quattro. I'm not sure if I'll maintain it bald, but I'm certainly open to shaving it again.
Looks great man. You defintely have a great head shape for it.

I tried the HeadBlade and the Fusion- really liked how smooth a new Fusion makes it, but I noticed after a few times it leaves some spots kind of rough. I didn't really like the HeadBlade as much. I guess you have to practice, but I'm doing fine with a normal razor on a handle

I like Fusion's shave gel- but probably any gel is the same. I like Gillette's aftershave gel and BaldGuyz moisture gel. I just tried witchhazel- it seems like it will help with any shaving irritation. Thanks for all the advice on this forum.

rockingbeat welcome! I just joined myself. Shaving will get better. The first time I shaved with my Headblade I took a strip of flesh out of my head almost an inch long. Now 2 years later, it is a cinch. Keep with it my friend!

I got the HB yesterday in the post but have not tried it. I'm a bit cautious at the moment because of hearing mixed stories about nicks etc etc. I currently use the Wilkinson Sword Titanium Quattro and have not experienced a single cut yet.

Just take it slow and keep the pressure on the wheels shakf and you should be ok. Using Headslick or an oil will help too.

Yes, shakf, like Paul said; take it slow and no pressure on the blade.
Try to get used to the feel of the HB in your hands. (use both).
If you stick with it, you will find yourself getting better each day.
Headslick is also one of the best shave creams to start with.
Good luck!
