Hi guys,
My name is Scott. I finally decided that the "horseshoe" was making me look like I was pathetically trying to save what I had left, so I took the plunge and shaved it off. Almost through the 30 days, but I knew right away that this is the new me. Still waiting for my scalp to toughen and cooperate, but nothing too bad. Here's a before and after shot; tell me what you think.

Welcome pastorscott. It's a good look for you. I shaved my head 2.5 years ago and have loved it. Just recently joined the site. Took me while to learn how to take care of my scalp.

Looks good! Your scalp will toughen up and adjust to being shave, so don't worry too much about that. Hopefully you find you new look very liberating. Just remember that you will notice the cold and sun a lot more with the shaved dome.

There was a little bit of shock, but not too much, since it didn't change my look too much from the front. My wife likes it and I've had several people say that it makes me look younger. My wife and I work at an orphanage for girls in Peru, and will be heading back in a couple of weeks... we'll see what the reaction is there, where baldness is almost non-existent among the Peruvians. The kids reactions will be something to see.

Welcome, pastor. Bald and bearded looks very good on you, if I don't say so myself. I suspect the kids will adjust quickly.

Looks really good on you. As you may read in many of my post, I am really not a fan(personally) of the horseshoe look. But, if some men want it, more power to them. Its their choice. But good for you for losing it.
