Doctor said shave your head.
« on: December 04, 2015, 03:03:18 PM »
Well, he sort of suggested that. I had a doc appointment today, so I didn't shave for 5 days, thinking the dermatitis issue would be present by today, but of course it wasn't. Anyway, I explained the condition that shows up in about a week of no shaving, and that it totally disappears if I shave my head. He thought it was folliculitis of the sweat glands. He said he could subscribe heavy antibiotics for an undetermined time period. I told him I didn't want to do that, as I've heard you get resistant to them. He said, either try clippering real close or keep it shaved. So I came home and did a nice smooth shave. Problem solved!

My doctor sort of suggested I keep shaving too. I had trouble with sebaceous cysts and actually had four of them surgically removed when they became very large and bothersome. Since I started shaving in '06 I haven't had a single one. And I have to admit I also like bald better!
