I have a weird shaped head, I don't know what to do!
« on: August 11, 2015, 09:15:59 AM »
Hey Guys, I'm 23 and I'm just about to finish University for a new job and I've got a pretty hot girlfriend, so my life is pretty good at the moment. BUT, there is always a but isn't there, I'm starting to seriously bald!

So at the moment I have a fringe and pretty thick curly hair, see picture, so it can cover the balding. But I don't want to bald disgracefully and if I leave my hair for much longer it might turn into a comb over and nobody wants that!

My main issue with chopping all my hair off is I have an oddly shaped head. As you can see at my ears my head slightly narrows then widens. So it makes the top of my head look even wider! I keep wanting to shave everything off but I go through periods of not minding the shape of my head to hating it and thinking I'll look ridiculous. I normally have a beard and will do again soon!!

I was just wanting to know however one else coped and if there is anyone out there who has a similar shaped head to see how they coped!!

Thanks!

You still have plenty of hair so you aren't in a position where you are really forced to shave it unless you just want to change up your style - which is fine.

Every one of us thinks that we have a weirdly shaped head!  We are all our own worst enemies.

So how do you handle it?  You just do it!  It is really that simple.  You just shave your head and then you follow the 30 day rule.  Whenever you make a major change in your appearance it takes a while for your brain to imprint that new appearance.  It can also take others some time to imprint your new appearance.  I guarantee that long before the 30 days is over you won't even notice what shape your head is.  Your new look will just be the new "normal" for you.

Your head shape didn't look weird to me at all... Actually your beautiful forehead impressed me very much. I thought it would have a good effect if you shave off all of your hairs. It's a pity that it's now hidden under the fringe.

Like Semi-Sly says, "Every one of us thinks that we have a weirdly shaped head". I had worried about dents on my head for a long time before I shave the hair off. But since my first shaving nobody has pointed out to me about it. Now I ask myself why I hesitated to take only one step at that time.

It'll be a very small thing for other people what you're worrying about so seriously.

Don't think you are at the point where it needs to be shaved, you have great density and the recession is not all bad. I'm not like most on here and prefer hair much more, only started shaving mine because the recession was too deep and thinning was getting worse.

every one's head is a bit different.  You would look good shaved.  just do it. no regrets later. of  course initially you will get some comments but soon they will accept it as you.
