Guys, recently i have been shaving every other day and i am finding at the moment that i get a great shave doing it this way even though i hate the stubble day!! Blade is the same. Everything is the same. Still, the every other day shave seems much better! Anyone else experienced this?

Yep.
I hate the stubble day too lol. But suffering through it I get a better shave and less irritation.

I've noticed this too and I think a razor just does a better job of gripping the longer stubble than day old stubble. Of course all magic comes with a price and the price is having sandpaper for a scalp, but this is a good technique if you have a day where you want to look perfect.

I think in the two and a half years I have been smooth, I have skipped maybe five or six days shaving. I cannot stand the feeling of stubble up there regardless of whether the shave is easier the next day.

To be honest when you grow it out for a couple of days then shave it, it feels like a better shave because you go from shaggy back to smooth skins. It almost creates the same effect from when you did the first headshave. When you went from a head of hair down to nothing but smooth skin.

I have also found that shaving every second day gives a good result and I can tolerate the sandpaper feeling for one day.

I do mine daily as I hate my hairline. It's a rare day that I don't shave and actually find it easier if I keep it smooth to get better results

I agree with You Goatee. The only down side is dealing with a day of stubble.

This is what I've always thought too. If I skip a day then my shave is demonstrably better: I have to go over spots less during the shave and my head stays smooth for many hours longer than I do when I shave every day.

I have made the swith to every other day as well. I started due to time constraints, but discovered the the shave was better and less time consumining to get a good shave every other day than my previous daily shaves. Fortunately, my gray/white has almost no shadow, but I do have to suffer a day with sandpaper.

Thats the only issue. Having to go a day with a sandpaper finish on the dome!

I finally made it a day without shaving, so I could make the comparison. I must say, using my DE razor, it cut easier, and I have one of the closest shaves ever. Feels and looks outstanding!
