  Though, I also make an awesome pancake which I place the butter in the bottom of the frying pan and then "fry" the pancake in the butter.  It basically creates a crispy, buttery edge around the pancake.
  

  
  Yep it's the only way to fry pancakes, the flavour added by butter, You can't be too worried about healthier oil, you're cooking pancakes!

• I love both pancakes and waffles....but I had to choose...I love a big stack of banana pancakes. Yum!
