I bought the new Gillette Fusion Proglide with Flexball at Target over the weekend. It was $10 and included a full-size can of their shaving gel. The razor has a ball joint (like a Dyson vacuum) that allows the blade to flex and twist to keep better contact with the skin.
It was generally comfortable to hold and use to shave my head. It is easier to shave the hair on the back of my neck and get the blade behind my left ear (being right handed). But I don't think I got a closer shave by using the new handle design. I am not a fan of the Fusion blades. They seem to leave a two-o-clock shadow on me and I have to hold the handle at a steeper angle than is natural to me on the back of my head to get it to shave close. I have a beard, so I am not using it to shave my face. I will devote the week to using the new razor to shave my head before I make a final decision on it.
If you are a Fusion Proglide fan, I think you will like the additional maneuverability that the Flexball brings to the design of their product.

I bought, and used it several times. I don't see much difference between the two.

I have a couple of friends who tried that Flexball and it is basically a "gimmick". If you like the regular Fusion (stay with it), this Flexball razor is nothing but a gimmick. From my friend's Flexball review, do not waste your money on a Flexball.
WARHAWK
I bought one a few weeks ago, and I like it better than my standard Fusion. The flex/pivot the ball provides gets the blade around the curves and bumps of my head with lot more ease than when I had to rely on my wrist to figure out the proper angles. Since I usually shave in the shower without a mirror, that is a great benefit. I get a really smooth shave in less time and with less effort.
I prefer the regular Fusion blades over the Proglide. They give me a closer shave & last longer.

Might have to give it a try based on that review. It may be a gimmick like others have said, but, I found YMMV is the rule of thumb when it comes to finding the right razor.
It might be more psychological but I feel like the Flexball works better than the standard handle on my head. Not much difference on my face and neck but I can tell a difference on my head.
I will have to at least get one and try it.
