Hey everybody,

This is my first time posting but I'm not new here by any means! I'm 29 years old and I've made a few changes in my style recently, beginning with growing a beard that I started last August (it isn't perfect, but I'm happy with it). Funny thing, I was about to shave the beard one night a few months ago and was literally seconds away from doing it, but impulsively went for the head instead. I'm not really losing my hair, but I thought it would be cool to try a new look... and most people seem to like it. Since then, I've gone from long-ish hair to shaving my head once a month (yeah, I know that doesn't keep it smooth!)... although I'm still sort of learning the way and getting nicks every now and then (happened tonight, in fact).

I'm probably not "sly for life" or anything as I like to change things up every now and then, but for now, this is the look I'm going with and I'm sure it won't be the last time I go with it in life! This board has been very helpful in convincing me to give it a go, and I'm loving the look for now, and I just thought I'd check in. I'm currently trying the 30 day rule, though, and plan to keep my head hair-free every morning for the next 30 days... so who knows, maybe once all is said and done, I'll be sly for some time! In the meantime, I'll be (mostly lurking) around here, and may occasionally post if I need some feedback.

Here's a before and after... before was taken in January right before my first head shave ever, after is immediately following my most recent head shave today.

Welcome.  I must warn you about the 30-day challenge...You may find it next to impossible to escape daily shaving after 30 days!  Not that this is a bad thing at all, but prepare yourself for the pleasant possibility!

Like tobler1 said, it's hard to resist shaving your head regularly after you've gotten yourself in a good routine.  You look good with your head shaved and the great thing about you being BBC is you can let it grow back at any time. I can't unless I want the Friar Tuck look so I'm sly for life.

In 30 days, you may find that you are addicted to shaving your head. I'm BBC, too.  I find it hard to resist shaving my head daily.  Your thick beard goes nicely with the bald head. Thanks for speaking up.
