Feather blades are nice but they aren't as aggressive as everyone says they are.

The Astra blades were out of stock where i ordered my gear and i was going to get some of those too.

Guys, what shaving soap would you recommend? I currently use Wilkinsonsword. A good quality one would be ace. Maybe even for sensitive skin? Cheers

I use Taylor of OldBond Street sensitive, it's pretty great. I highly recommend it.

I'd love to use a DE but the thought of my slicing myself scares me

Respect the razor and take it slow, no worries. My advice, perfect your craft on your face before moving to the dome.

I am dreading it to but i like the reviews on how good a shave you get with one plus the saving on blades! I am sure that one blade is far superior to 5 too!

Okay so shave your legs  :*))
Follow the rules and you're golden, nothing to fear.
What are the rules?
1) don't apply pressure.
2) use the correct angle i.e. slightly tilted to about 30-45 degrees.
3) apply lather before each pass.

Nothing to be scared off, sir.  When I 1st tried DE shaving on April 2012, I took the plunge and shaved both face and dome.  It took me about a week to get comfortable shaving face and about a month to get comfortable shaving dome.

I actually just jumped right into shaving the dome with a DE, as I don't shave my face (just the neck below my beard).  So far so good.  Had a few nicks and one nice cut during the learning curve but overall it was a quick learn :)

I get all my EJ stuff from The English Shaving Company, they are great with service and deliveries

I got an EJ DE89B (barley grip handle) which I love and I started using feather blades straight away without any issues

Cella shaving soap is nice!
and the end of our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time

Guys, when you do cut yourself, do you miss out a couple of days or continue shaving the same spot?
