I've been shaving my head and for over 10 years with my handy wahl clippers because I was always prone to razor bumps. I was tempted a few times last year to try out disposables that my big brother occasionally left in the shower, BUT I still got razor bumps every time.
It occurred to me finally that I wasn't doing it right and I started researching on the net. So from discovering the importance of mixing my own lather to the discovery of DE shaving, I can happily report that I've retired my clippers and I am now loving my shaving experience for the last 3 months(razor bumps be gone).

@Rookie1178: Welcome to the sly fraternity. Glad that ya joined us. As a huge fan of DE and SE shaving, we have a SAFETY RAZOR SECTION of the forum and we would be glad for you to participate in the SAFETY RAZOR SOTD and other subjects that are related to the traditional way of shaving such as blades, soaps, creams, and brushes.

Welcome to the forum rookie. One thing I've always said is" less blades equal a better shave", hands down. We don't need 4 or 5 blades to get a great, smooth shave, regardless of what Gillette says. I normally use a double blade cartridge on my HB sport, and it works way better than the new multi cartridges they are currently pushing. Enjoy the forum and keep the dome smooth.
