Very long time lurker here...I have no issues with hairloss or recession at all, but have always thought shaved heads were cool. About 10 years ago, I tried out the look, enjoyed certain things about it, but didn't think it was an especially good look for me.
Since then, I've been working as an attorney and have cuts fairly conservative, though skirting the edge with some fades and flattops. Well, I had never been fulfilled working as an attorney, so I resigned and my last day of work was before Christmas. I'm now traveling for 6 weeks, and shortly after am going to take a course so I can get certified to teach English to non-native speakers, with the plan to move to Asia for a spell and teach.
Right before the trip, I indulged in a mohawk, but I got the urge to revisit BBC on Saturday night, and, well, here I am now. Initially, I sort of thought, "Oh, f*$k, what have I done," but it's really been growing on me a lot. I think the full beard really helps the look.
I sort of assumed I would shave it and promptly start growing it out, but I don't think that's happening anymore...It's been too much fun, and I am really liking the feel and look immensely.
Anyway, before/after shots are attached for your enjoyment.
