• Hello there! My Name is Gregory Haire.. Greg or Gregory for short or you can call me by my gamertag Lith. I am 23 years old. I live in Central Texas. Have been married almost 5 years and have a BEAUTIFUL 8 month old baby girl. I am a stay at home father. I stumbled on this website while trying to find shaving tips and read a few post. Decided I'd like to introduce myself sense I read a few post and yall seem like a AWSOME community for a newly bald guy looking for tips.
  
  Now that we're past the introduction I'll tell you my story.. I've ALWAYS had very thin hair.. And I've always hated that fact. I remember going to get my hair cut when I was, I don't know, around 10 and the person cutting my hair would always ask if I wore hats allot. I didn't.. Ever. So I knew from an early age that I would end up bald. It runs on both sides of my family. It has progressive gotten worse over the years.. Not as much as others, but still very noticeable. I'd have family, old and young, point out my bald spots to me. Which had made me very self conscious and very annoyed, I do look in the mirror and see myself. So I started cutting my hair progressively shorter saying that I'd eventually cut it all off, to be honest I didn't think I'd have the guts to. I think I was just trying to make myself feel better and prepare my wife when the time would come. I've known my wife sense 5th grade. She always had the crush on me and I was always "too cool" for her, but I eventually grew up and now realize I'm the luckiest man in the world. She supports me in whatever I decide to do, but I never would have thought she would support me in this.  I had long hair when we started dating in high school. I decided today on a whim that I was going to shave my head bald. I had cut my hair, I own my own clippers and would just cut all my hair the same length, and looked in the mirror. The balding was very noticeable. Normally cutting it short made it less noticeable.. Not today. I looked in the mirror and wasn't happy and wasn't ready for the family to point it out.. yet again. So I told my wife: "I'm shaving it.." and to my surprise she smiles and says "Go for it!" In this situation I would have expected her to be hesitant. Nope and thank goodness she wasn't sense because I was scared myself. She gave me the confidence to just do it.
  
  I know its only been, I don't know, like six hours sense I did it. I already feel like a weight has been lifted. I plan on keeping it shaved. Everyone who has seen it likes it and even my sister laughed and said I look like a badass who just got out of jail or something.. lol. My daughter was the funniest though. I'd lean down so she could touch my head while my wife held her and she would touch it, pull her hand back, and giggle. Anyway.. I thought I'd share my story.. Or should I say my beginning to the larger story.
  
  (After I posted it, my wife said I should add the picture of shaving cream all over my head >.<)

  Sounds like you may not need the thirty days to figure out if you like the new look. I didn't either. Glad you and your wife are happy with it.

• Welcome, Greg! Glad that your wife and daughter approve of your new look; you look like a natural! On a side note, I spent some time in your area when I was in the military (at Fort Hood)....Once again, welcome to the forum and enjoy!

• Thank you all . Yea I definately dont need the 30 days at all. It already feels natural to me.. Its kinda weird how natural.
  @Sir Harry Yea fort hood is just down the road from me .. I have tons of friends and family in the military and most are luckey enough to be stationed there.

• It looks good but I recommend growing some facial hair to go with the shaved dome.
