Yeah I seen thier accoustic show up here, that was friggin awesome!!! I know I know, Sevendust accoustic doesn't seem plausible, but they pulled it off. Tics were only 18 bucks!!!

All time fav are Alkaline Trio. From Chicago,they've been around well over a decade and are just now getting some mainstream exposure(have signed to Virgin offshoot V2).
So-Cal style early 90's era melodic punk is what I've listend to for the past 15 years.

Me too man. One of my fav's of Manson's would have to be Antichrist Svperstar and I don't think that one is considered mainstream...

New Sum41 is a good return to form for them. Their last coupla albums were a bit too metal for me but they lost their guitarist, which is I am sure the reason for the 360 degree spin.

Me too man. One of my fav's of Manson's would have to be Antichrist Svperstar and I don't think that one is considered mainstream...
For me it's "portrait of an American family" with "Anti-Christ" as a definate 2nd. "beautiful People" and "Torniquette" did get alot of radio play. except on XM I haven't heard anything off the new cd get any air time. Of course it could be an area thing. Chicago & Detroit play alot more underground stuff than around here. -

Good point. In a similar vein, what about NIN's The Fragile. That one is a bit more obscure... a great cd (or should I say cds...)

Good point. In a similar vein, what about NIN's The Fragile. That one is a bit more obscure... a great cd (or should I say cds...)
I agree with that one man. It didn't get the attention it deserved. NIN was my first show. And OH WHAT A SHOW!!!, my first christening into the mosh pits!!!. Went to school the next day with boot print on the side of my neck. I should of took a pic, cause I think you could still see the brand logo. lol. Also, got thrown on stage, smack dab under Trent. -

Yeh, I like quite a bit of Trent Reznor's stuff too. The Fragile is a good album though haven't listened to it for ages now, was more into Fixed & Further Down The Spiral. Also like Tool's music - they're a great band, really tight & an awesome drummer. Also used to listen to a lot of KMFDM, Laibach, Front 242, Swans & System Of A Down. Going back to Trent Reznor & NIN though - got to say, Johnny Cash's version of Hurt really brought the best out from that song. -

Nice! I have seen NIN in concert, but never had the honors of being in the pit

Yeah, I also am a Tool fan. Got to see them in concert recently ... they put on a great show.
As for NIN, anyone ever hear the accustical remix of The Fragile by Trent called "Still"? My favorite remix ever done by any band. It's hard to find now, as it was the second cd in the limited edition of Halo #17 "And All That Could Have Been" ... great stuff.
