Welcome. Have to say one thing that is nice is the feel of a freshly shaved head on a cold pillow
There's a reason that another name for a straight razor is "cut-throat razor."
I don't think we can put it down to male laziness that when the safety razor was invented the straight razor became a curio for all but a tiny group of "I'm old-fashioned, and don't think you can convince me otherwise." That barbers still use a straight razor is, Ming says, of the same calibre as the chefs at Japanese steak houses with their knife acrobatics: "Look what I can do [and you can't]!"
If you are going the straight razor route, don't forget to buy several good styptic pencils and have lots of gauze there by the sink.
Now let's have a discussion of the proper bristle for a shaving brush. In Great Britain they are having badger culls, and so... ?
Thanks, Andrew! I've got this old aunt that doesn't grow eyebrows anymore so she draws them on. She always looks surprised!
Hahaha. I picture her wiping them off in mid conversaton and drawing new ones that express a different emotion than the ones she drew on before....she doesn't get much done during the day.

I remember I felt that the first week or two when I first shaved my head and the feeling went away since

It's like everything else that's good at first
