Finally went sly

I guess like most guys on here have had demons since my losing my hair. Started a few years ago when I just noticed it thining. After that got so paranoid and researched everything. Felt like losing my hair was going to be the end of my life really. So I started taking all that hair restoration nonsense like Propecia and to be honest it had a really nasty effect on me. My testosterone level dropped and felt sh*t, even started effecting my sex life.

One day just went cold turkey and started buzzing my hair short. Was listening to rage against the machine actually and found it really helpful. Buzzed it further and further and began to accept it more and more. Found this community a while ago and have been dropping by now and then. Decided to finally go sly and to be honest I wonder why it took me so long. Have had a pretty good response so far. Weirdest thing is people keep asking me for smokes/lighter! One of my friends is strangely addicted to my new shaven head too!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the community here. Have uploaded some before and after photos.

When I went SLY, I too, wondered why I waited so long.

Welcome. You'll find a good team of guys here who enjoy being bald.  It's a good support team.  Bald really is a positive choice.

It looks great on you!!! As the saying goes; "The first cut is the deepest". Very, very few folks on here have ever said that going sly was a mistake. Even one feels that it was, then it can always grow back. I'm BBC however that's because I'm completely grey and to me, it's just as bad as thinning hair. There's nothing worse to me than seeing a full head of grey hair knowing that you don't identify with as old as you look so being sly works much better for me. After the first cut is done, you realize that it wasn't such a big deal after all. It took me months of wanting to do it before I actually did and all I can say is that after shaving, you feel so unencumbered. Congrats on your decision brother!!

Welcome to the club! I too also just recently shaved my head and I love it! I have had good reactions so far and wish I did it sooner as well ha.
