In all seriousness is it any different to any other razor? I hear about it a lot, it looks cool but is it going to give me any better or different shave from the Hydro 5 I use now?
I'm tempted but don't want to waste money if it's gonna be no different.

There's a learning curve with the 2 Headblade models currently available (the sport and the ATX).
When you get to a point where you want to switch things up, give each one a try and choose for yourself which one you like. Or conversely that you don't care for either. I am in camp ATX.

I have used the Sport. Is it any different? Yes, it is unique, kind of fun to use. Does it do a better job? I don't think so, a good quality cartridge razor does the same job. JMHO.

I can recommend the HeadBlade sport. Convenient to use with long easy passes over the head. Plus it looks good in a 'made for sly guy' way.
Give it a go !

As I've only used the Headblade Sport (except for a couple of weeks trying out the Headblade ATX) since starting to shave my head in Nov 2011, I can't tell you if it is any different than the Hydro,
What I can tell you is that the Sport with the HB3 cartridge gives me a super smooth irritation free shave. I tried out the ATX to see if it met the hype, but I really can't see how the shave I get with the Sport could be any better.

I find it much easier to navigate, given the way the blade sits on the unit (facing out, as opposed to requiring a pulling motion of a regular razor). I still need to use a regular razor for touch ups around the ears but, for a majority of my head, the headblade rocks.
I wouldn't want to have to shave my head without it.

See Im not sure I can get smoother. I'm not a great internet shopper so I hate the fact I will have to order the baldes when I need them rather than pop to the shop opposite work and get them!

The HB is good from the stand point that it puts less strain on your arm and wrist when compared to using a stick razor. Also, between the two adapters that come with it, you should be able to find a cartridge that would meets you need and be locally available - at least I think you should be able to.

Hmm see I don't really feel a strain. See I am here stroking my head and I dont think it's get any smoother, so I might stay as I am. I suppose it's the name swaying me

I never did manage to master the original HB. I liked my HB Sport until the stores in my area stopped carrying the cartridges for it, and I'm like you, I'm not big on HAVING to order something online when I used to be able to get it from my drugstore. The good thing about buying online is you (used to) get about $10.00 worth of coupons
I currently use the Schick Hydro 3, because I find I get a closer shave with three blades than with five.
My drugstore now carries the ATX and the HB4 cartridges and I'm tempted...especially if I really can shave my face with it as well.
And there's a lot to be said for the HB Logo. The Yin-Yang/UFC/MMA vibe definitely draws me in.

Headblade sport is so good. The closeness and quality is just brilliant. Atx is crap though

I wouldn't say it's crap. Every time I ever cut myself it was with the sport.

Different strokes for different folks....I used to dislike headblade until I got the concept off of Youtube. Currently I am using the ATX, but I will use a DE for my next headshave.

I tried the headblade sport. I gave it 2 weeks of use. I found it to be a pain, and drags IMO. Won bother again, I think it's an advertisers dream. Solving a problem that wasn't there in the first place....
I personally don't think you'll get a better shave with one over a Gillette Mach 3 or fusion.

There are all kinds of shaving options for each person, what works best for some one might not work out for some one else. There's no one size fits all shaving method.
